Stick Around After the RNC and Join the Steelworkers to Confront Private Equity

Enough is Enough—Rally at Wayzata Investment Partners Headquarters
(701 Lake Street, Wayzata, MN)

Action Starts at 12 Noon on Friday, September 5
For a ride or to caravan, meet at 11:00 am at the Convergence Center 627 Smith Ave. S. St. Paul

When Wayzata Investment Partners bought the Cascade Pulp Mill in Halsey, Oregon the investment firm fired all 100 of the union employees and made them reapply for their jobs. Then the company imposed steep wage cuts – some as high as 28% and took away the workers’ health insurance.

Wayzata CEO, Patrick Halloran has been sending his lackeys to Halsey to do his dirty work while he hangs out at his waterfront office on Wayzata Bay here in Minnesota. Now union members have traveled half way across the country to confront this corporate thug and demand accountability.

Join members of USW Local 1189 as they confront Wayzata CEO Patrick Halloran and demand a fair contract.
