Battle in Seattle Movie Premier - Discussion following @ Common Roots

Discussion with Minnesota activists who were at the Seattle protests in 1999 and/or FTAA protests in Miami in 2003 will follow after the movie at the Common Roots Cafe (2558 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN).

Battle in Seattle is new film celebrating a huge victory over corporate greed and the protests that rocked the world nearly a decade ago. Told through the stories of 12 fictional characters who all come together during those 5 days in Seattle, the movie mixes dramatic performances and archival footage to create a multi-layered story similar to the Academy Award-winning film Crash. The all-star cast includes Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta, Michelle Rodriguez, Martin Henderson, Andre Benjamin and Channing Tatum. Check out the trailer at www.battleinseattlemovie.com
