Ramsey County Sheriffs Still Roaming into Hennepin County on Fishing Expedition

TC-IMC update, Thursday 9-18: from Monday night through early this afternoon, visits from the Sheriff's Department to the homes of Twin Cities activists and friends are still continuing and total a minimum of 6.

Over Monday night and Tuesday morning, representatives of the Ramsey County Sheriff - including in at least one instance Sheriff Bob Fletcher himself - have been showing up at several homes of people associated with the RNC protests, including into Hennepin County. Currently there have been no arrests, but there was a request to inform the broader community that their fishing expedition continues.

Meanwhile the FBI still has Sheriff Bob Fletcher right where they want him, because of course it turned out that his top deputies behaved in a corrupt fashion in that FBI sting and there's probably an ongoing investigation of Fletcher's own office.

(Not coincidentally, it appears that the so-called 'buckets of urine' that Fletcher wheeled out at the pre-RNC press conference were just dirty water. Any proof of urine forthcoming? Don't bet on it - and will there be any accountability from the media?)

Editorial note: when will the Ramsey County law enforcement confine themselves to their own jurisdiction? This is getting ridiculous.

Anybody affected directly by the recent sheriff visits mentioned in this post can feel free to e-mail me (a reporter with the St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper) with specifics -- location, time, any reason for visit given by authorities. Same with info on the buckets of urine turning out to be dirty water -- send me an e-mail.

The quick summary of all the advice on the resources below is to tell law enforcement official simply that "I’m going to remain silent. I would like to see a lawyer". Beyond that point, there isn't a need to engage with them.

Someone in Ramsey County please start a petition drive to recall this fricking mook.

Yes! Yes! How can I help? (I live in Mpls) He should lose his job and a lot more for the brutality he allowed to happen.
