Austin, MN: Counterprotest against Nazi demonstration

Say no to Racism and Nazis! On July 11 a group of racists will gather in Austin to call for the deportation of immigrants, Blacks, Asians, Latinos, homosexuals and Jews.

Their event is set for 2 p.m. in front of the Mower County courthouse. This group identifies itself as Nazis and calls itself the National Socialist Movement. Join with us in a counterprotest and show them they are not welcome in our community. We will stand up and show that no human is illegal, immigrant rights are workers rights, and we oppose racism in our community.

Anti-immigrant rightists and ultra-rightists have been agitating against immigrants for several years in Austin.  The Nazi group, National Socialist Movement, held a similar rally on June 3, also in front of the Mower County courthouse in Austin.  Young people and workers outmobilized them 35 to 10 and answered their anti-immigrant poison for two hours.
