Register Now For a Class with the Twin Cities Experimental College! (EXCO)

Where Everyone Can Teach or Take a Class and All Classes are FREE!

The Experimental College of the Twin Cities is delighted to offer over 50 free classes for the upcoming Summer session.

EXCO has over forty unique classes to offer this term, including courses on Existentialism, fermentation basics, auto mechanics, HTML, Somali female diaspora experience in North America, and a fantastic Brazilian drumming ensemble, “Batucada Do Norte”.

The new session begins soon and registration is now open online at www.EXCOtc.org.

Classes typically are held once a week on evenings or weekends and meet at various community spaces around the Twin Cities.

Since 2006, EXCO has been been working to create an alternative model of free and grassroots education that builds bridges between local universities and communities. EXCO strives to offer the Twin Cities communities the opportunity to teach or learn in a space open to alternative education and all kinds of knowledge, including and beyond academic knowledge. We believe education is a powerful tool for social change, one that can build equality and justice in our communities when we value the knowledge of each and every person, particularly those whose voices have been historically marginalized. EXCO encourages our local communities and movements to self-educate and put their knowledge into practice to create a healthier, happier Twin Cities.

EXCO is always looking for volunteer organizers and class facilitators who are enthusiastic about education and the community. If you are taking or teaching a class, or are interested in getting involved, EXCO’s summer potluck, the “Knowledge Banquet” is on Thursday, July 23rd at the Hamline Midway Library, 6:00pm.

Registration can be done online, or by calling EXCO’s number and leaving contact information.

Find all class offerings or donate online at www.EXCOtc.org. Questions and registration requests can be directed to excotc@gmail.com, or 651-696-8010.

Thanks for your support and see you in the classroom,

Sincerely,
The EXCO Organizing Team
