The 12th and 13th Avenue Community garden is having a garage sale fundraiser this weekend. We are raising money to pay for our property taxes and water bill for the 2009 season. Please stop by and mention you saw this ad on ComGar and we'll give you a 10% discount - just for supporting your local

Saturday, June 13th
9 am to 5 pm
2727  12th Avenue South - in the garden
Located 2 blocks east of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, across the street
from Andersen School and 3 1/2 blocks north of Lake Street in South
Minneapolis.

Handicapped accessible (sort of) if you approach from the alley side.

You'll find 3-4 families worth of stuff including:

Antiques
Clothes
Computer accessories
Household goods
Small furniture
Gardening supplies
Houseplants
Videos

and much more

Visit this historic garden - we are the first community garden in
Minneapolis to outright purchase ourselves - we are owned by our community
and have been for almost a decade. We can build and plant what we like and
not worry about losing our lease. However, because we own ourselves, we also
have to meet all expenses in creative ways - hence the garage sale.

As always, we love to have visitors so drop by for a little bit on Saturday
and enjoy the benefits of an oasis in the city.
