:::!!ALERT!!:::PLEASE READ ~ Activists are being followed again!!
Not only was an anarchist house broken into, but there have been several reports of police, unmarked and in regular squad cars, following activists and driving by anarchist houses, doing surveillance.
I would like to put the community on __--Code Hot Fuchsia High Fucking Alert--__ of possible police actions coming up, presumably in anticipation of this weekend's events. Be aware of your surroundings, take note of strange patterns and movements. Many people have been reporting weird police activity, and while some of us thought they were isolated incidents, there have been too many reports in the last few days to think that that is true.
You are encouraged to lock your doors and windows, hide your valuables (as well as valuable information), and keep an eye out on your dwelling and known hot-spots. PLEASE spread the word and let others know that they should be on the lookout.

Not sure if this is connected or not, but definitely falls under weird police activity...
Yesterday morning at about 4am, I was asleep in bed when six MPD officers began banging on my door, saying they were going to kick it down unless I opened it. I asked them for a warrant, but they said they didn't need one. When I opened the door a crack to tell them to leave, one grabbed me and shoved me out into the hall. He then entered my apartment (over my protestations) to search. Another officer explained that they had recieved a 911 call claiming to have heard female screams coming from my apartment. I explained that I live alone and had been asleep when they arrived. After a minute or two of searching, the first officer came back out, lectured me on the seriousness of domestic disputes, and scolded me for not opening the door immediately. I said nothing and they left without apologizing.
So yeah, I assumed this was just a mistake or misunderstanding at first, especially since they didn't ask any strange questions or go through my stuff while searching, but in light of all the extra shit that's been going on, I thought I'd better bring this to the community's attention just in case.
Watch your ass!
Some quick criticisms.
1. The police are keeping tabs on all of us all the time. Prior to the RNC, during the RNC, and now more than ever (especially with their 40 million RNC dollars for phone taps and what not). The doing being consulta merely makes them more active in their attempts.
2. If your witnessing police follow you or tag you, its likely they want you to know. The purpose of this is to intimidate you into doing the things you don't want them to do. Don't let this happen. Get tactical.
3. Don't panic. They're just cops. Granted, they're cops that closely associate with the ATF, FBI, and other not so nice governmental gangs. But they're still just pigs. The "Swine flu" if you will.
RATHER THAN LETTING THEM SCARE YOU INTO SUBMISSION, GET TACTICAL AND COME TO THE DOING BEING ANARCHIST CONSULTA AND PICK UP COUNTER-SURVEILLANCE LITERATURE TO DETER THE EFFECTS OF THEIR SURRVEILLANCE!
