Tensions Begin on the Eve of the DNC

Two pink tanks blasting raucous music and masked protesters carrying signs such as “It’s the $y$tem, Stupid”, “No HOPE in Capitalism,” and “Riot for Peace” took over the downtown of the Mile High City on Sunday on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.

Denver’s 16th Street Mall—a16-block pedestrian and public transit corridor in the center of the city—was overrun by an Unconventional Denver orchestrated action at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

St. Paul Obama Office Vandalized

From Infoshop.org

In the early hours of Sunday August 24th, the first day of action against the Democratic National Convention in Denver, a Barack Obama campaign office was attacked in St. Paul.

Two windows and a glass door were smashed out. Paint bombs were thrown at the exterior and interior of the building.

Today our friends in Denver will stand up to the electoral spectacle despite the violent threats of the police. Those who attacked this office stand in solidarity with our friends and loved ones in Denver. We look forward to seeing them in the streets.

containing white powder, officials say.

The first office to receive the threat was near Denver, Colorado, on Thursday and the second was in Manchester, New Hampshire, authorities said.

"We have put all of our offices on highest alert. They're looking for anything suspicious and all staff has been quarantined as of right now," Jeff Sadofky, McCain spokesman, told Fox News.
