Israeli activist Gal Lugassi spoke at the University of Minnesota January 6 as part of Anarchists Against the Wall's (AATW) U.S. tour. AATW is an Israeli direct action group that takes direction from the Palestinian popular committees as part of the joint struggle against Israeli occupation and apartheid.
The event was organized by the MARS Collective and Minnesota Break the Bonds. MN Break the Bonds is the local wing of the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement - a call issued by Palestinians and the same call issued during the South African apartheid.
