The Fox News patriots are angry. They say they are upset about rising taxes, growing government control of the economy, and stimulus plans ostensibly designed to revive an economy wrecked by Fox News styled capitalism. I'm not a proponent of Obama's approach to the economic collapse. As far as I'm concerned, Obama is just Bush II. He's the good-cop in the Bush bad-cop/good-cop fascist takeover of the United States. Nevertheless, I can't help but to notice the hypocrisy of these arm-chair patriots who are now planning on getting off of their over-sized asses and onto their feet.

With a collective sigh of relieve Americans watched as the Bush administration ended and a new president take over. Like the first ray of sunshine breaking through the storm clouds the inauguration brought a renewed hope for a better and more prosperous America. Bush was leaving office with the lowest popularity of any president and perhaps as the most despised man on the planet.

Between the middle 1800s and the early 1900s, the desire to sell magazines merged with two historical tales, one from the pagan Germanic past and the other from Christan lore, to form the Santa Claus memeplex. The memeplex quickly morphed into a capitalist dream that, once saddled upon the working class, turned a nation into insatiable consumers and gave reason to the production of frivolous goods. A new religion was born and children everywhere began to pray to Santa - a super-hero-like being, an über-elf, the Führer of naughty and nice.

I've lived through the administrations of nine presidents, a sequence beginning with the John F. Kennedy. The history of the United States during my lifetime can best be described as a mad dash to Hell down the unguarded winding road of a steep mountain slope in a secondhand car with no brakes. It started off with the assassination of a popular president, possibly by George Bush Sr. and is now ending with the assassination of the Constitution by George W. Bush, the alleged assassin's son. Along the way we had corrupt Lyndon B.
