RNC Civil Litigation Meeting

10/25/2009 17:30

Were you arrested on Sept. 4th, 2008, during the RNC in St. Paul? If so, you might be able to get involved in a civil suit from that day!

Come to our next organizing meeting:

Sunday, Oct. 25, 5:30pm
Mayday Books, 301 Cedar Ave S, Mpls

Several lawsuits have already been filed from incidents that occurred during the RNC, including a large one from Sept. 1, 2008 that will hopefully become a class action. Now we're working on figuring out which suits to file from the arrests on Sept. 4th, such as the mass arrest on Marion Bridge.

Were you at the RNC last September? Sue the state for what they did to us!

The CRASS (Community RNC Arrestee Support Structure) Civil Litigation Working Group has compiled some information to help you start taking the first steps toward filing civil suits to hold the state accountable for their actions during the RNC. That's right, we've pulled together info to help you sue the bastards!

Sue the Bastards! RNC Civil Litigation Workshop

This will be an introduction to civil litigation (law suits) for people affected by the RNC.
It will be a forum for people to discuss why they want to sue the city of st. paul, ramsey county, the rnc, etc. We will also discuss how law suits against the state fit into the broader anti-oppression movement and a description of the first steps in filing a lawsuit.
