On Friday June 1st, members of tenant organizations in Walker Community Methodist Church, will hold a press conference to demand answers of the city and fire department.
In a stunning shock to the Twin Cities activist community, Walker Methodist Church (3104 16th Ave. S.), the longtime meeting site and home of many organizations (including for a time TC Indymedia) burned for hours after apparently being hit by lightning on May 27th, with firefighters dispatched around 8:30PM.

The RNC 8 have received joinder at trial, and now they ask you to join them for December's FREE monthly dinner! It's on Tuesday, December 15 from 6-8pm at Walker Church, 3104 16th Ave. S. in Minneapolis. The 8 organized together, were charged together, and will be tried together... now, let's EAT together.

MINNEAPOLIS — 13 dec. 2008 . About 150 demonstrators (literally) took the street of South Minneapolis for the annual Human Right Day protest of the Anti-War Committee. The focus was on human right violations committed or supported by the US government both home, such as police brutality, repression of social movements, war on poor and immigrants, and abroad such as in Iraq, Palestine, Colombia, Somalia or Mexico. The recent riots in Greece were also mentioned on banners.
