Minnesota NOW 40th Anniversary Conference features Sen. Al Franken, Rep. Tim Walz, and more!

“Celebrating 40 Years and Moving Equality Forward” is the full name of Minnesota NOW’s annual State Conference, held this year at the Oak Ridge Conference Center in Chaska.  The public is welcome to attend the full day of speakers, interactive panels, awards, and an anniversary celebration.

Featured speakers include Sen. Al Franken, Rep. Tim Walz, Katie Stack, star of the MTV documentary "No Easy Decision," and Nancy Gruver, founder and CEO of New Moon Girl Media.  

A panel on bridging generations of feminist activists, the presentation of 2011 Feminist of the Year and the Charlotte Streibel Long Distance Runner Awards, and a celebration complete with a birthday cake round out the day.  The $45 registration fee for the conference includes a buffet lunch.  A sliding scale is available for NOW members in good standing.
