Hey folks! this is Elliot .   sorry bout this misunderstanding i got a call last min from my lawyer that the judge got the wrong time.   courtwatch is moved to TOMORROW OCT 28TH AT 1PM RAMSEY COUNTY COURTHOUSE. if you know anyone going please call them asap and let them know. i have to call like 150 people. urg

Hey everybody. Elliot Hughes has a court date on tuesday, oct 27, at 1 pm. Y'all should come. The RNC was a traumatic expierience for him and a year later  Elliot is being charged with 2 counts of assult on a "peace" officer.  and 1 count of obstructing the legal process with force. these charges are 1 year or 5000 dollars maximum each. most of us know what has happened to Elliot and its clear he needs a lot of support through his trial.  if you dont know to see what he is being charged for search Bike Arrest RNC on you tube.

2009 Minneapolis election rundown: City Council, shady local deals & more!

Besides the 2009 Mayoral race, anything else interesting happening? Depends on your enthusiasm about electoralism; three open seats at least means an open field in some places. The professional media hasn't really feigned much interest, except for MPR, the Daily Planet and the Minnesota Independent. It's almost like the political-media complex doesn't like to advertise the risky end of traditional elections in the city. At least, here's links to everyone!

Ward 1 (Open): Open for the first time in a dozen years, Kevin Reich is DFL endorsed. Longtime DFLer Susan Howitz Hanna is in, "Independent DFLer" Larry Ranallo just got the "Police Officer Fedration" [sic] endorsement.
