The height of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results. Each person has years of thoughts, ego satisfaction valued over study or service to others, repetative mind imput such as radio, TV and ill founded gossip and now you are required to think.

Most people do not think, they just repeat their biased opinions and are experts in all subjects. Everyone has an opinion about others houses and they actually know very little about it. Where is the logic that you can steal a home because it is empty. Why don't you steal the unused car down the street or the food in the grocery store as it is not moving fast enough to suit you. Most children would know better, but humans can justify any action, especially if they are hungry, cold or never gave much thought for the creation of their future. It is always much easier to blame the teachers, the police, the owners of goods you do not have. Do these people move in and wash the windows, clean the floors or change the light bulbs. No they move in, bring food for them and whoever, make a mess, cry out loud and always have loud music.

 Yes, their first thoughts would be to steal the utilities. Where is the thought of helping the neighbor by shoveling the old person's snow or mowing their lawn or even serving at a food shelf. Oh, I see. They are too busy.

I personally helped 187 homeless families have a place to live and enjoyed doing it. In my first home rental, the young child looked into my face and said with fear and admiration, "You are the landlord." I did not feel I deserved such respect as I was just the owner of the house, not his leader or his god. Guess what, I was taken advantage of 187 times and my only sane thing to do was to get rid of the houses. It was just like dropping a big bag of bricks off my back. The down and out showed little appreciation and the neighbors have learned that that house only attracks problem people and they think the only way is to tear it down. Yes, it may solve their problem, but they only move a few blocks away and do it to another house and disturb a different set of neighbors.

Buildings are not the problem, bad people are. If our Minnesota nice does not work, then we help to create what you got. How would you like to try to find a good renter when you have 6900 convicted fellons in Mpls. looking for a place to live or sneak in with a borderline renter or in this case just move in. Lets see no application, no deposit, no rent, no utilities, little house work, no job necessary, no responsibility as you are a victem of someone's prior lack of guidance in your past.

Hey? Do you give a 30 day notice that you will move out? Would the place be as clean as when you moved in? Would the world be any better due to your efforts of the past 60 days. Are you going to serve others in the future or will you be seeking another hand out and work hard to get that.

When inspectors are encountered, I ask them if they own any properties in Minneapolis. They look at me as if I asked the most stupid question ever. Of course not! They know what is going on and it is not pretty.
